Happy Thanksgiving

As I sit here a think of the things that have gone on over the last year I can't help but think of the how great it is to be me.

Here are just a couple of things that I am thankful for that happened this year.
1. My youngest daughter Gabriella (She always puts a smile on my face)
2. That my car gets great gas mileage even after driving it 186,000 miles
3. That I have been able to get closer with Mami and Papi this year
4. I still have my health and my good looks...I had to throw that one in :-]
5. I am still able to make money on the internet (expecting my best year ever)
6. That no matter what happens I have the best family in the world that supports me

Blast from the past...

Father's day at Busch Gardens in Tampa

On Father's Day Gabriella and I went to Busch Gardens here in Tampa. As we are walking around there is a little area with all these kids doing the Hula Hoop. To my surprise she insisted that she could do it and wanted to show me. She is pretty good at it ( much better than I am) I may just have to go get her one so she can actually practice.

She also has to stop in every single store and look at the animals, especially the stuffed animals, but this one was bigger than her and made out of wood. She loves those animals. I will be surprised is she doesn't end up with a job that she works with animals all the time.

Update on Papi

I know... I know...It's been long overdue, but I am finally updating after his surgery. He is doing really well and can actually drive himself around now. He will be heading back to his house later this week. This entire time he has been staying with Oscar in Augusta.

For everyone that took the time to call Papi really appreciates it, and for everyone else...Get on the phone! it won't kill you :)

Can you believe it?!

It's just funny how time flies! Jan. 18, JJ and I will be married for 3 years! Weird huh?! So in case you had any questions...we got married Jan. 18, 2005. It would have been the 17th but the courthouse was closed to observe Martin Luther King's Birthday! =) hahaha!
So, sorry no big wedding! I wish we did but...that's just not how it worked out. Well, It's great being a part of this family! I love you all dearly!
And JJ when you read this...Happy Anniversary Babe! =) Luv ya! (See ya in Feb.)

Hello all!

I'm excited to finally be a part of this blog! Well, Merry Christmas to everyone! I hope your holiday was as special as mine and Lanas! She had a GREAT day opening presents and running around! I got to talk to JJ for a bit too!!! He's doing good, he just misses being home! But he will be back for a visit for two weeks in Feb.! The only thing he ever asks for is letters from you all! A little bit of everything...Merry Christmas

I have been so busy lately that I haven't had an opportunity to update the blog. This is going to be a little bit of everything that has been going on.

First, Papi is out of the hospital and doing well. His surgery went great and he is staying with Oscar and Sanalis in Augusta, GA. He has a lot of people visiting him but a phone call to see how he is doing is always appreciated.

Patrick is also doing much better. He had an infection that was the reason for the lumps that he found. He is on medication to help with that. He also has a new car to drive so he isn't walking anymore. Patrick is working hard as always and loves to hear from everyone.

With everything going on I didn't mention Robert's birthday that was on Nov. 25th. It was his Golden Birthday...25 on the 25th.

I remember mine back on Christmas of 1997. I was in the Navy standing duty watch because we were in the Persian Gulf. I also was working on an emergency project for SEAL Team 6 (called Dev Group) making some motor mounts for them because they were stranded on shore and needed to get their boats back to the ship.

As today is my birthday I am just hanging out at Dusty's house (Wendy's brother) as we spent most of the morning opening up presents.

I hope everyone has a great Christmas and don't forget to call Mami and Papi.

Patrick's Life

As I spoke with Patrick earlier this week I found out some interesting things going on in his life...

First he is without a car since the camshaft broke about a month ago. He told me he has been walking everywhere.

Is he crazy!!

Let's think about this for a second.

• It's winter in Indiana
• he just had surgery
  
• It's WINTER!! (I get cold just thinking about it)

Ok so I put winter twice, but really I have been watching the news and it's really cold up there right now.

On a more important note...I know what can be more important than walking around in the winter, well...

Patrick found 4 more lumps last week end under his arm. Hopefully they can be removed and not cause a problem. Patrick only has his cell number right now if you need it give me a call and I will pass it on to you.

A Quadruple Bypass!

Sorry for the delay in updating the blog. The military hospital didn't have an internet connection that I could use and the internet was down were I was staying.

Papi went into the hospital on Monday 12/10 and had the surgery on 12/11. He was in the operating room from about 6:30am until almost 5pm. The only issue that the doctors had was stopping the bleeding once the surgery was complete. He is now out of ICU and in a private room. You can reach him on his cell phone or call the nurse's station at (706) 787-9225. You will need a password to find out anything about him. The word is "Christmas" (I thought I would make it easy for everyone to remember.)

He does have a direct phone line to the room but I don't know what it is since I didn't write it down. He's in room 1105-A at Eisenhower hospital in Fort Gordon. Dr. Cooper, his surgeon, said if everything continues to go well he will be released on Monday 12/17.

I know he will enjoy hearing from everyone so don't hesitate to call.

Surgery Update

Papi's surgery has been rescheduled to next Monday Dec. 10th. He will be in the hospital all week.

Papi Health goes down hill

I've been really busy lately going back and forth from Florida and Georgia because Papi is going to have open heart surgery this Friday Dec 7th. He will actually go into the hospital on Dec 6th so they can do prep work for a 3-5 bypass surgery.

The surgery will be at the Eisenhower hospital on Fort Gordon in Augusta, GA. It will begin at 6:30 am. I will try and give out updates as I get them. I will be at the hospital with him and in GA for about a week following the surgery.
